'Goddess Of Love' - Press Release

Smoke Dreams Virgin Records are proud to announce the release of 'Goddess of Love' on 20th May, the first single to be taken from Bryan Ferry's superb new studio album 'Frantic'. co-produced and co-written by Dave Stewart, with additional production from 'Avalon' and 'As Times Goes By' producer Rhett Davies, 'Goddess Of Love' presents Ferry at his finest; sweeping hooks combine with bittersweet pop melody and a touch of bluesy glamour. It seems highly appropriate then that Marilyn Monroe provided the inspiration for 'Goddess of Love'. "For me to write something sparked by Monroe was long overdue she was the ultimate goddess of the silver screen" Bryan Ferry Roxy Music fans will be particularly delighted that 'Goddess of Love' reunites Ferry with Paul Thompson and Brian Eno, the latter providing backing vocals as well as keyboards. The CD single will feature additional tracks 'Which Way To Turn' from the album 'Mamouna' and the previously unreleased 'Smoke Dreams Of You' from the 'As Time Goes By' sessions recorded in 1999. Bryan Ferry's new album 'Frantic; is out on 29th April and sees Ferry at his most versatile. It is guaranteed to thrill fans of all eras of an illustrious career that continues to musically and stylistically influence music today.
